Q: Do you have a favorite room or thing to design?

A: I love to design custom upholstery. It’s one of the most important elements in any design and I am obsessive about creating comfortable seating. It doesn’t matter how nice something looks if no one wants to sit on it. I like spaces that are designed for daily living while still looking great and comfortable, durable upholstering is the foundation for that.

Q: What is the most rewarding part of being an interior designer?

A: We have such loyal clients and I have built my business by establishing lifelong relationships with them. Many are dear friends. That is what I focus on and that’s what nourishes me each day. I have the privilege of being in the most intimate spaces of people’s lives and homes during stressful transitions. I have seen it all and been there for births, deaths, divorces, graduations, empty nests, sickness and health. I am doing what I love and I wake up genuinely excited to go to work every day.
