Before & After: A Grey-Green European-Inspired Kitchen
Our design team recently completed a stunning kitchen renovation in Winter Park. The space had a great layout and just needed some aesthetic updates, so we updated the existing cabinets, countertops, and accessories and the result is jaw-dropping!
See the transformation below:
The high-end cabinetry was in excellent condition so rather than replacing it, we updated the design with a soft grey-green paint color called Chat Room by Sherwin Williams. The island was completely reworked by Busby Cabinets from a dated bi-level with a curved bar top to a large counter-height rectangle ideal for baking, entertaining, and gathering.
The brown granite countertops were replaced with a light natural quartz that brightens the entire space and neutralizes the yellow in the large travertine floor tiles. The existing hardware and plumbing fixtures were replaced with beautiful bronze fixtures from Waterstone. New lighting by Visual Comfort illuminates the space while adding a touch of modern elegance to the otherwise traditional space.
The existing ceiling beams were removed and replaced with a simplified version stained in rich walnut. Together, the beams, decorative niches, and turned legs create a warm, European-inspired chef’s kitchen that our team – and our clients – adore.
